Visualización de Información
Cada vez hay más fusiones y remezclas de disciplinas y aplicaciones relacionadas al diseño y visualización de información. Están los casos de las agencia de publicidad que convocan a un visualizador de información. Ilustradores devenidos en infografistas de periódicos al mismo tiempo que otros infografistas que producen obras. También encontramos casos de diseñadores que a partir de sus propias visualizaciones de información realizan softwares para el desarrollo propio u ofrecen servicios de diseño y/ visualización a terceros, directamente.
El diseño y visualización de información, en general, y las infografías, en particular, pueden pensarse como una post-producciones que, según el francés Nicolás Bourriaud, las mismas corresponderían al “conjunto de procesos efectuados sobre un material grabado” (sea este audio, video, imágenes, texto, etc), teniendo en las herramientas digitales el soporte perfecto para desarrollarse infinitamente.
Las visualizaciones e infografías no parten de la nada sino que están relacionadas incesante y constantemente unas a otras con sus antecesoras. Esta remezcla o “remix” de informaciones y comunicaciones, como toda post-producción, favorece a la fusión de dos nociones otrora bien definidos (y separados): producción y consumo. El consumo (el uso de las formas) es también un modo de producción; o sea, el uso implica interpretación conduciendo así directamente a la reinterpretación, dando lugar a la reapropiación del objeto de consumo.
Existen muchos sitios y blogs en donde se puede ver estos fenómenos, tales como information aesthetics, Infografistas, What´s next, así como el resto de links publicados y comentados en este blog. También se pueden encontrar sitios de administraciones públicas con gran preocupación por comunicar “organizadamente” la información a su disposición.
